According to Dubey, there is a pattern where some students attempt to explain their underperformance to their parents by blaming external factors such as paper leaks. He emphasized that those aspiring to enter professions like medicine, engineering, or civil services should rely on education and merit to achieve success.
Addressing the media during the Parliament’s Monsoon Session, Dubey discussed the government’s action plan in response to the NEET paper leak incident. He stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has demanded the severest punishment for the individuals involved. Modi has reportedly insisted that the 13 individuals apprehended in connection to the leak be subjected to expedited legal proceedings through fast-track courts. The Prime Minister has been quoted as saying that individuals who jeopardize students’ futures will face severe consequences.
The government has shown a willingness to engage with those protesting against the NEET paper leak. Union ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh have extended invitations to the protestors, welcoming them for discussions at their official offices or residences. This openness indicates a governmental commitment to addressing the concerns raised by the affected parties.
Despite these overtures from the government, protestors remain steadfast in their demands for accountability. Their calls include a demand for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The protestors have also announced intentions to organize peaceful demonstrations across the nation to highlight their grievances and push for greater accountability regarding the paper leak.
