China and India are gearing up for the 25th round of Special Representatives’ Talks concerning their longstanding Boundary Question. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun revealed this development during a routine press conference on Tuesday. He emphasized that the two nations are actively engaged in dialogue over border issues and are striving to implement the agreements forged in the previous round of discussions.
Currently, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is in New Delhi for the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. His visit included a meeting with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Monday, underlining the ongoing diplomatic efforts between the two countries.
Guo stated that the situation along the China-India border remains stable, with effective communication channels in operation. This stability allows both countries to focus on enforcing the consensus reached during the 24th round of boundary talks, which remains a priority for both sides.
The forthcoming discussions are anticipated to build on previous efforts to manage border tensions and maintain peace and stability along the frontier. Both China and India are committed to these diplomatic engagements, aiming to minimize friction and enhance bilateral relations through constructive dialogue.
