Brad Pitt is set to reprise his role as Cliff Booth, the Hollywood stuntman with a shadowy past from Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The new spin-off film, titled The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, will be directed by David Fincher and is being produced by Netflix. This story will continue to follow Booth as he navigates the evolving landscape of the film industry.
The screenplay for the film was crafted by Quentin Tarantino, who opted out of directing it himself, preferring not to make his final directorial project a sequel despite his keen interest in Booth’s character. The narrative is set in 1977, eight years after the original film’s events, portraying Booth’s adaptation to a significantly transformed Hollywood scene.
Scheduled for a global IMAX release on November 25, the movie will enjoy a two-week run before becoming available for streaming on Netflix starting December 23. Joining Brad Pitt in the cast are Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller, and others, ensuring a star-studded ensemble.
David Fincher, known for directing acclaimed films such as Fight Club, Zodiac, The Social Network, and Gone Girl, is at the helm of this project. He also has experience with Netflix through his directorial work on series like House of Cards and Mindhunter.
