India to Open 2027 ODI World Cup Against Australia in Cape Town

India is set to kick off its 2027 ICC Men’s ODI World Cup journey facing off against the reigning champions, Australia, on October 7 in Cape Town. The tournament schedule places India in Group A, which also includes Pakistan, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, and a yet-to-be-determined Qualifier A. This group stage promises to deliver intense matches as teams compete for a spot in the knockout rounds.

One of the most eagerly awaited encounters of the group stage will be India’s match against arch-rivals Pakistan. Scheduled for October 10, this clash will take place at Johannesburg’s iconic Wanderers Stadium, drawing significant attention from fans and cricket enthusiasts worldwide.
